’Bagyo’ in English

bagyostorm, typhoon
malakas na bagyo – a strong storm/typhoon
unos – thunderstorm

walang bagyo – there is no storm
malakas na bagyo – strong storm
delikadong bagyo – dangerous storm
babala sa bagyo – storm warning

may bagyo sa bandang – there’s a storm on the side of (place)

may bagyo sa (place) – there’s a storm in (place)
Ex: May bagyo sa Pilipinas.There is a stom in the Philippines.

 

Use ‘bagyo’ in Tagalog Sentences:

  • May bagyo. – There is a storm.
  • Walang bagyo sa susunod na araw.There is no storm on the next day.
  • Wala sanang bagyo. – I hope there is no storm.
  • May malakas na bagyo na parating.There is a strong storm coming.
  • Malapit na ang bagyo.The storm is near.
  • Mag-ingat sa bagyo.Be careful in storm.
  • Wag kang mag-alala walang bagyo. – Don’t worry there is no storm.
  • Paparating na ang bagyo. – The storm is coming.

 

Use ‘bagyo’ in asking Questions:

  • May bagyo ba ngayon? – Is there’s a storm today?
  • Kailan ang bagyo? – When will be the storm?
  • Kailan ba parating ang bagyo? – When is the storm coming?
  • Takot ka ba sa bagyo? – Are you afraid in storm?
