matandang babae – an old lady
matandang lalaki – an old man
matandang dalaga – an old woman with no husband

matandang pobre – a poor old man/woman
matandang gusgusin – an untidy old man/woman

Use ‘matanda’ in Sentences:

  • Ang bait ng matanda.The old man/woman is so kind.
  • Matanda na ang punong yan. That tree is old already.
  • Mukha kang matanda.You are look like an old man/woman.
