Adding ‘ma’

To make the tagalog nouns to an adjectives, ‘ma’ is added before of the tagalog nouns.

Examples:

1. Her beauty is like a princess.
In Tagalog: Ang kanyang ganda ay parang prinsesa.

Noun: Ganda (Beauty)
Adjective: Ma + ganda = Maganda

You are beautiful
In Tagalog: Maganda ka.

2. Your dress is color white.
In Tagalog: Ang damit mo ay kulay puti.

Noun: Puti (White)
Adjective: Ma + puti = Maputi

Now your dress is whiter.
In Tagalog: Ngayon ang iyong damit ay maputi.

3. I’m starving.
In Tagalog: Gutom na ako.

Noun: Gutom (Starving)
Adjective: Ma + gutom = Magutom

I hope you will get starving.
In Tagalog: Magutom ka sana.
