‘Bolero and Mambobola’ Meaning

‘Bolero’ is a person who flatters girls but not serious, it the same thing with ‘mambobola’. Mambobola came from the word bola in English is ball which it means they are just playing a ball or what we called playboy.

mambobola – playboy
bola, binubola – a lie
bolahin, mambola – to flatter a girl and saying a lot of things but not seriously


  • Bolahin mo sarili mo. – means ‘just flatter yourself’
  • Bolero ka talaga. – means ‘you’re flattering girls but not seriously
  • Mambobola ka talaga. – means ‘you’re really a playboy’
  • Wag mo nga akong bolahin. – means ‘don’t flatter’
  • Hindi ako tatamaan ng bola mo. – ‘Your lie sweet talk won’t work on me.’
  • Sinong binubola mo? – ‘Who’s your flattering for? ‘
  • Bolahin mo nalang sila wag ako. – ‘Just flatter them not me.’
