Using Sa Akin in Tagalog

Akin means "my", "mine". Sa akin means "to me". This is a common expression to be heard in the Philippines.

The use of “sa akin(g)” (Pron. my; mine) in a sentence.

Sentence example:

  1. Siya ang Diyos na Maylalang sa akin. (He is the God my creator.)
  2. Sa akin ang bahay na iyan. (That’s my house.)
  3. Ako’y nakipagtipan sa akin(g) asawa. (I have made a covenant with my wife.)
  4. Galing sa akin(g) puso iyan. (That’s from my heart.)
  5. Si Juan ay umiibig sa akin(g) anak babae. (John loves with my daughter.)
  6. Siya’y kumapit sa akin(g) mga kamay. (He holds my hands.)
  7. Maligtas kaya ako sa akin(g) mga kaaway?. (May I deliver from mine enemies?)
  8. Oo, sa akin iyan. (Yes, that’s mine.)
  9. Ikaw ay para sa akin lamang. (You are only mine.) 
  10. Sa akin ang libro na ito. (This book is mine.)
